National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has once again criticized the central government, alleging that it fails to address a long -standing demand for the restoration of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
On August 9, replying to a question by reporters about the hunger strike employed by Jammu and Kashmir Congress, demanding the state, Abdullah said that his party was continuously raising the issue at the highest levels.
“We are already fighting for this. Whenever I met the Prime Minister, I raised the issue,” he said.
He said, “We are not like him. We believe in the person who is the master of all. We will get our rights,” he said, expressing faith in Almighty.
When asked about the state demand from the central government, mentioning the ongoing Parliament session, he said, “What can we expect from those who cannot fill 4 Rajya Sabha seats, two assembly seats?”
Abdullah also addressed global economic concerns, especially by US President Donald Trump to step 25% tariff on Indian goods, called it a great disaster for India’s economy.
“The BJP says that whatever wants to do. Similarly, Trump also keeps shouting that he has established peace here. Today, he has imposed 25% tariffs with punishment. The material is being prepared for our destruction. All industrialists are running away from here. They will work from Dubai … The number of beggars will increase here …” He said.
He also praised Trump praising those, saying, “The names of countries that are supporting him for the Nobel Prize are hardly known to anyone. If we also say that yes, he helped us, and he is sitting as a master of the world.”
He said, “This will be a big destruction for us, whether anyone believes in it or not. Do you know who will benefit Bangladesh and Cambodia? They will be happy … It’s a mercy,” he said. (AI)
