Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday received the title of Operation Sindoor in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and said that he avenged the loss of the Pahgam terror attack with the blessings of Lord Mahadev.
Addressing a public meeting, PM Modi dedicated the success of Operation Sindoor to Lord Mahadev.
PM Modi said, “This is the first time I have come to Kashi after Operation Sindoor. 26 innocent citizens were mercilessly killed by terrorists in Pahalgam … My heart was full of grief. I promised to avenge my daughters’ vermilion, and I fulfilled it with Mahadev’s blessings.
The Indian armed forces carried out Operation Sindoor to avenge the terrorist attack in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir on 7 April on 7 April, killing 26 people.
PM Modi also appreciated the Kanwar Yatra and said, “These days, when I see the scenes of the devotees of Lord Shiva taking the Ganges water in the Ganges, it looks divine.
PM Modi said that he did not pray in the Kashi Vishwanath temple because it caused inconvenience to the common people coming to the temple.
The Prime Minister said, “I wish to be able to pray to Baba Vishwanath in the holy month of ‘Sawan’. But if I go there, other devotees will have to face inconvenience and will not be able to offer prayers, so I will bow before Bholenath and Maa Ganga from here.”
During the 51st visit to his Lok Sabha Constitution area, Varanasi, PM Narendra Modi released the 20th installment of PM Kisan Saman Passenger, in which more than Rs 20,500 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 9.7 crore farmers.
He also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several development projects worth about Rs 2,200 crore. (AI)
