Woman filed a case against Frank Stronch, Magna on sexual harassment of 1986

Billionaire businessman Frank Stronch, who is waiting for the trial for more than a dozen allegations related to sexual harassment, is now facing a civil trial from a woman who alleges that he sexually harassed her decades ago when he was a student sponsored by Magna, auto parts company she established.

In a statement filed in June, Jane Boon alleged that Stronch sexually assaulted him in a company’s guest house in December 1986, after ply with alcohol during a corporate party at the Toronto restaurant.

She also alleges that Magna knew Stronch, who was the controlled shareholder and director of the company at the time, took a risk to the women students who received sponsorship and did not take any steps to warn or protect them or others like them.

The allegations have not been tested in the court nor the Stronch nor Magna has filed a defense statement at this time.

Stronch’s civil lawyer, Sirit Button, says he “denies the allegations and will strictly defend the trial.” Magna refused to comment, citing the ongoing legal claim.

The 92-year-old Tycoon was charged in 18 cases last year-including sexual harassment and indecent attack -3, related to complainants, was dating back in the 1970s with some allegations.

He is expected to face tests at 12 counts in Toronto earlier next year, and requested not to be guilty in that case. Another test is prepared to be on the remaining count in the later pneumarket.

Stronch denied all the allegations against him.

Boon is not one of the complainants in criminal cases, none of which can be identified due to standard publication ban.
