A suspected impaired driver was arrested on Friday morning after a dramatic single-vehicle rollover accident at Lake Shor Bulleward West.
According to Toronto Police reports, the incident occurred just before 2:30 pm, a vehicle was traveling at a high speed when it crashed into a pole on the remembrance drive, before the driver crashed into a second pole on the Stadium Road, resulting in a vehicle rolled.
Police told 680 Newsradio that the driver tried to run on foot, but was taken into custody after some time and arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
There was no injury, and the investigation is on.
The lake noise bullet is closed on the east side of the West as the crews work to clean the debris and repair the damaged infrastructure. Police hopes to close by Friday afternoon.
