Srinagar, August 1 (KDC): A Border Security Force (BSF) soldier, who was previously reported to have been reported from his unit in Srinagar, has been detected while traveling to his hometown without official permission in Delhi, BSF Kashmir Public Relations Officer (Pro) said on Friday.
According to Srinagar -based news assembly Kashmir.com, the soldier left the battalion headquarters in the Panttalion, without informing his superiors, without a holiday (AWL) report and a brief search operation in the surrounding areas, including bus stands, railway stations and major transit points.
“He was traveling to his hometown without the former authority,” Prof. BSF Kashmir said, saying that the soldiers are now located and safe.
BSF officials confirmed that an internal investigation has been initiated to investigate the circumstances of unauthorized absence and determine any necessary disciplinary action. (KDC)
