Srinagar, July 31: To review the progress of development works done under District Capax Budget 2025-26 in the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labaro presided over a comprehensive meeting of all sectoral/district officials here in the meeting hall of DC Office Complex today.
The DC also assessed the progress made in the preparation of estimates of works for various components under the District Capex budget for the ongoing financial year.
In addition, Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Chief Planning Officer, Phase Ahmed Dar; Superintendent Engineer R&B, Shabir Ahmed; Chief Medical Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Education Officer, R&B, Executive Engineer of PHE, KPDCL, SMC meeting was attended by all district/regional officials, engineers and other relatives.
Initially, DC conducted a detailed review of the ongoing works done during the financial year 2024-25 and the new functions proposed for the current financial year under the regular, asphalt development program and field development program.
On the occasion, DC instructed the line departments to accelerate the pace of work on all the ongoing projects so that they could ensure their completion on their time. He furtherlined the importance of accelerating the preparation of estimates for the initial execution of the works keeping in mind the limited work season.
He asked the concerned to ensure project estimates of all approved works for the current financial year this week to speed up the development process in the district.
During the meeting, DC was informed that out of 388 works done during the financial year 2024-25, 366 works are physically completed while 22 are under performance.
The DC further called all engineering and planning divisions in a coordinated manner to fulfill public expectations to work in the mission-mode and from time to time by achieving 100% estimate and execution goals.
