Federal prosecutors said Los Angeles (AP)-Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas was arrested on Wednesday along with five other people, including a suspected member of an Israeli organized crime group, who said the federal prosecutors on suspicion of hosting illegal high-dog poker sports at Los Angeles Haveli.

If convicted, the defendants would face five years of statutory maximum punishment in the federal jail for each count, the prosecutors said.
Arenas scored 20.7 points during a 11-year career with four teams, especially a seven-plus season tenure in Washington from 2004–11.

His son, Alija ArenasA Los Angeles High School was a basketball star, a high touched freshman player for the University of Southern California. The pending knee surgery is underway in his college career and rehabilitation is expected to take months, the school said last week.
