The Canadian tire has determined an unknown percentage of its corporate workforce, confirming the company.
In a statement by Citynews, the company stated that it has abolished some corporate roles and expanded others to “better competition in a new era of retail” as a part of their change.
Sorting does not affect any store roles.
“While these changes are difficult, they are necessary to ensure that we remain a strong retailer, job maker, and contributor to Canada’s economy in the future.”
When asked by Citynews, the Canadian tire will not share how many employees were placed at this point or which roles were affected.
