Minister accused of being in favor of ‘pornographers’ in online security line

Mr. Faraj reacted on X, calling Mr. Kyle’s comment “disgusting” and said “he should do the right thing and apologize”.

Mr. Kyle doubled on his comments in response, and said that “If you want to reverse the online security act then you are in favor of predators. It is as simple as it is.”

Mr. Yusuf claimed that Mr. Kyle’s remarks revealed that “how deep the government was about child safety”, saying: “Talking about Jimmy Savillas does nothing but to defam the victims of Jimi Savella in that way.”

He told Sky News that the comments are “one of the most humiliating and disgusting things that a politician said in the political field that I can remember. And it is quite high, clearly, clearly.”

Sir Kire Stmper jumped from his critics to defend the law when he met Donald Trump on Monday, told reporters “We are not censors”.

“We have received some measures that are meant to protect children, in particular, from sites such as suicide sites.”

He said: “I personally feel very strongly firmly that we should protect our young teenagers, and this is what usually from things like suicide sites. I don’t see it as an independent speech issue, I see it as child protection.”
