Heavy rains and lewd winds in Delhi have inspired major airlines, including IndiGo, SpiceJet and Air India, to warn of possible disruptions for flight operations on Tuesday morning.
IndiGo said in a post on X, “With the expectation of heavy rainfall more than #Delhi, we are looking at the airport and a chance of slow traffic. While we cannot control the sky, we are making every effort to keep our journey stable on the ground.
SpiceJet also highlighted the impact of adverse weather conditions in Delhi and Dharamshala, paying attention to X, “#Weatherupdate: Delhi (DEL) and Dharmashala (DHM) may affect all departure/arrival and their consequential flights.
Similarly, Air India issued a warning, stating, “This morning and more rain from Delhi, please check your flight position before going to the airport and allow additional time for your visit.”
IMD predicts heavy rains across India by 4 August. Northwest India, including eastern Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh, is expected to experience very heavy rainfall on July 29 with heavy rains in Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana.
