Srinagar, July 27, KDC: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the Mega Alumni Meat -2025 at Kashmir University today.
Chief Justice of India, Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai; Union Minister, Kiren Rijiju for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs; Judge Supreme Court, Justice Surya Kant; Judge Supreme Court, Justice Vikram Nath; Judge Supreme Court, Justice PS Narasimha; Judge Supreme Court, Justice Pankaj Mithal; Judge Supreme Court, Justice Rajesh Bindal; Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Arun Palli; Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah; J&K and former Chief Justice of Ladakh High Court, Justice Ali Mohammad Magre; Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, Prof. Nilofar Khan and prestigious alumni of Kashmir University captured on the occasion.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor enhanced his dirt for the alumni and nurtured brilliant minds to appreciate the University of Kashmir, who have achieved tremendous achievements in the domain and are making social changes around the world.
“Alumni is not only a network of alumni, but a network of human ability dedicated to nation building.
Today, we are honored for the alumni between us who have actually made the nation proud. He is a living will for the 77 -year heritage of the University of Kashmir, ”he said.
The Lieutenant Governor called upon the reputed alumni to strengthen J&K high educational institutions and come forward to use their expertise and network in various fields to contribute to the peace and progress of UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Lieutenant Governor further emphasized that alumni should expand the necessary handholding and support for young students in their internship and career prospects, motivate them, guide and empower them and build a better future for the new generation.
“The tradition of selfless sharing is an integral part of our culture. I believe, in the era of globalization, the connections of alumni are the most effective strategy for the development of any institution and region.
The University of Kashmir should create an institutional mechanism for alumni that will provide them an opportunity to give them back to the university, ”he said.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasized the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 in educational institutions, to restore India’s previous glory, in letters and spirit.
Jammu and Kashmir has done tremendous work in this direction. He said that our innovative programs such as Design Your Degree are serving as an inspiration for other higher educational institutions in the country.
The Lieutenant Governor recently congratulated the University of Kashmir for acquiring prestigious A ++ grades in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and getting its place among the top institutions in the country.
The meeting gave Dr. Karan Singh honored the exemplary contribution of former Union Minister; Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir; Mian Altaf Ahmed, Members of Parliament; Justice Vinod Chatterjee Cool, Justice Sanjay Dhar, Justice Javed Iqbal Wani, Justice Mohammed. Yusuf Wani- Z&K and the High Court of Ladakh, and other famous alumni of the University of Kashmir. The Supreme Court and the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, former Vice Chancellor, Head of various educational institutions, senior officers of police and civil administration, faculty members, non-education workers and students of Cashmar University were also there.
