CM Omar Abdullah legislated the legacy of Kashmir University in Mega Alumni Meat -2025

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today appreciated Kashmir University, which is a famous learning institution and for the achievements of its alumni, saying that the institution has matched the best universities in the country.

He was addressing a specific gathering at the Mega Alumni Meat -2025 held at the University of Kashmir.

The event was organized by Chief Justice of India, Justice Bra Gavai, Union Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University. Former Chief Justice of Jammu -Kashmir High Court Justice Ali Mohammad Magre presented a welcome address to the dignitaries. The mega event also saw the presence of several judges of the Supreme Court of India, invited as prestigious guests, Justice Arun Palli of Jammu -Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, Arun Palli, Jammu -Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Judge, former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Member of Parliament Mian Altf Ahmed.

In his address, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah highlighted the fundamental indicators of the success of an educational institution.

“There are two primary criteria by which we should assess any educational institution,” he said. “The first is the scope and caliber of its research production; the second is the tangible achievements of their alumni. According to both standards, Kashmir University is not behind any university in the country.”

He said that many alumni of the university have excelled in laws, politics, administration, medical, social work, business and other fields in the national and international level laws.

Calling the alumni to continue its association with the university, the Chief Minister remarked, “The University of Kashmir has given you a lot. If you can return the favor through sometimes, even sometimes, your efforts and experience, it will benefit the students who are currently studying here, as well as which will secure the future.”

He urged the alumni to work as a role model and ambassador for the next generation. He said, “As you pride in Jammu and Kashmir and India, future students of this university can continue this legacy,” he said.

CM Omar Abdullah also greeted all the alumni who were vested during the event. He said, “I heartily congratulate all those who have been honored with quote and recognition today,” said, the conclusion of his address with the words of encouragement.
