Israeli ambassador rejects criticism of the assistance of PM Carney in Gaza

Ottawa – Israel’s ambassador to Ottawa has issued a statement rejecting the “condemnation” of humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza.

Ambassador Iddo Moed’s statement urged Canada to keep pressure on Hamas to support Hamas and support a broad structure to end the war.

The Israeli government on Thursday after Prime Minister Mark Carney accused the Israeli government of preventing a humanitarian crisis in Gaza and failing to violate international law.

In a post on X, Carney stated that the control of Israel’s support distribution should be replaced by the “comprehensive provision” of humanitarian aid under the leadership of international organizations.

Moeed in his statement stresses that Israel is committed to maintaining international law and serving as a “active partner” in facilitating the flow of assistance in Gaza.

The Canada is one of the more than two dozen countries with the United Kingdom, Japan and Australia, which issued a joint statement earlier this week, which calls for an immediate end to the conflict in Gaza.
