As the provincial leaders prepare to meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney on Tuesday morning, the premiere of Ontario, Alberta and Suskechewan has signed a memorandum of calling for the manufacture of new pipelines using Ontario Steel.
The premiere is gathered to talk about ending the internal trade obstacles in Ontario’s Cottage country and US President Donald Trump on 1 August threatened to put a 35 percent tariff on a wide variety of canadian goods.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford has called this morning’s agreement a “game changer” that focuses on shipping of western oil in refineries in southern Ontario and a new deep Sea port in James Bay.
The agreement also states for new rail lines that to help ship significant minerals from the mines approved in Western Canada in Ontario’s Ring of Fire Region.
Alberta Premier Daniel Smith says she listens to Carney that she wants to make Canada an energy superpower, and she wants to remove “nine poor laws”, she says she says she hurts the climate of Canada’s business investment.
Saskechewan Premier Scott Mo says he wants to hear from Carney how to expand the port capacity to acquire more exports in foreign markets and to reduce Canada’s dependence on American trade.
