Malcom-Jamal Warner has died.
“The Cosby Show” drowned in Star Costa Rica. He was 54 years old.
The Judicial Investigation Department of Costa Rika claimed that Warner was floating in the Playa Grande de cocklace in Limon province on Sunday afternoon, when a current pulled her into deep water, the judicial inquiry department of Costa Rica claimed.
“He was rescued by people on the beach,” a preliminary report said, but the first respondent could not revive the actor.
Fox News has reached Warner’s representative for digital comment.
Warner gained fame from 1984 to 1992 as the son of Heathcliffe Haxble played by Bill Cosby on “The Cosby Show”. He appeared in all 197 episodes of NBC SICST.
In 1986, Warner earned an Amy nomination for the best supportive actor in a comedy.
The show’s legacy was tarnished after Cosby’s sexual harassment allegations. In 2021, Kosby’s 2018 sentence was overturned. Since then, five more women have come forward with allegations against the comedian.
Despite the controversy, Warner was still proud of the show.
Warner told People Magazine in 2023, “How can some people now feel about the show, I am still proud of heritage and have been part of such a reputed show that had such a deep impact – first and most important, black culture – but also American culture.”
