After the subway rider, the police seek the suspect in the investigation of hate-inspired attack, on the spat

The Toronto Police released images of a suspect in an investigation into disgusting-inspired attack after an incident on a TTC metro last month.

Officers were called at the Welsela Subway Station on Monday, June 16, 2025, which was around 12:37 pm after the report of an attack.

Investigators say the suspect approached another rider, which was seated on the ship on the train.

Police said, “Insecure, the suspect made derogatory remarks to the victim and spit on him.”

The suspect then pulled out of the train at Valesla station and started walking east under Valesley Street.

He is described as a white man, which is about 30 years old and five feet ten inches with a moderate construction.

He was last seen to carry a black baseball hat, black Balaklava, blue jacket with green stains, black pants with flip flops and duffle bags.

Police say the investigation is being considered as a suspected hate-inspired offense.
