A complaint was received by the Bureau of Jammu and Kashmir Anti -Corruption, alleging that Junior Officer of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) Kwal Krishaan publicly demanded illegal satisfaction from the Junior of Jammu -Development Authority (JDA), which to allow the construction of a double -storey building in Ballon Domana, Jammu.
The accused had demanded a bribe of and 20,000 from the complainant to allow the construction of a double -storey building in Jammu, Jammuna and agreed to get the first installment of 1 10,000 out of the bribe demanded. Since, the complainant did not want to pay the bribery and contacted the anti -corruption bureau to take legal action against the accused public servant under the law.
On receiving the complaint, a prudent verification was done, which relates the demand for bribe by the concerned public servant and accordingly, a case FIR number 14/2025 U/S7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 was registered and investigated at Police Station ACB Jammu.
During the investigation, a trap team was formed under the leadership of the Gazetted Rank Officer. The team laid a successful trap and the accused public servant was caught with a red hand in the presence of independent witnesses, demanding and accepting a bribe amount of 10,000 from the complainant. The accused was arrested on the spot by the ACB team after a proper procedure of law. In the presence of independent witnesses associated with the trap team, bribe money was also recovered from their possession. Apart from this, in the presence of independent witness and magistrate, the accused are being searched in the residential house of the accused located in the Floor Harmkund Gajanu, Tehsil Marh in District District Jammu.
Further investigation of the case is going on immediately.
