Crown says that the Montreal case was closed till 23 October after a brief hearing in the city courtyard on Thursday. According to the charging document, Valentine was living in the city of Montreal.

Canada’s parole board on Thursday did not respond to the remarks requests, and the prosecutor’s office refused to comment further.
