In an important step aimed at strengthening border management and inter-agency coordination, Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, today visited the Buchohemandi view point in Akhanur sector, which is a strategically important field.
The IGP Jammu Zone, BHIM Sen Tuti, was accompanied by the DGP; IGP CRPF of Jammu Sector, Gopala. Rao, IPS; Dig JSK Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS; SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, JKPS and senior Indian Army officials are posted in the area.
The DGP was widely informed by the Army officials on the Border Security Grid, focused on weaknesses, monitoring infrastructure, JKP-Army coordination, and the preparations for ground units were completed to respond to the danger from any border. The purpose of this journey is to assess the area, visibility gains and layouts of defensive positions in the front region.
During the inspection of the region, the DGP emphasized the importance of inter-agency coordination, real-time intelligence sharing, and technology-competent monitoring, which has been prone to border efforts by historically terrorist groups and smuggling networks to secure sensitive areas such as Akhnoor.
The presence of senior leadership from J&K police, CRPF and the Indian Army focuses strategically on joint operations on border areas.
