A man and woman from Toronto are facing allegations of cruelty to animals, when they saw allegedly abusing two dogs, they made a call after a call from the stories.
Police responded to calls in Yonge Street and North York Bulleward area around 1 pm on Monday afternoon.
They allege that a man and woman were in a moving vehicle with two dogs. The dogs were on a single strap attached to each dog collar.
The vehicle stopped and the woman pulled out one of the dogs, while it was still connected to the strap, closed the door with the dog and then came back into the vehicle.
The vehicle started shaking and the outside dog was dragged with him, while the inside dog was being drawn by force.
People watching him stopped the vehicle and called the police.
Dogs were taken to a veterinary clinic and treated for their injuries.
Mohammad Sabiri Kamreh and Farimah Saghari Toskani, both 54, are facing a total of six cases due to unnecessary pain/ pain or injury to an animal.
Both of them were to appear in court on Tuesday.
There is no more information available about the situation of dogs at this time.
