J&K Police Mock Drill to strengthen travel safety in districts of Kashmir Valley

To ensure the safety and safety of pilgrims starting Shri Amarnath ji Yatra, J&K police today organized mock drills in several districts of Kashmir Valley including Srinagar, Gundal, Budgam, Pulwama, Kulgam, Kulgam and Pid Avantipora in many districts of Kashmir Valley.

Prasar was performed strategically at important points to assess vigilance, preparations and coordination between various security agencies deployed for the trip. Mock drilled the simulated scenarios of the standoff fire, attempted a fideline attack, IED detection, convoy stoppage, emergency withdrawal, disaster landscape due to mob management and earthquake.

Senior police officers oversee these fake exercises, ensuring that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) were followed and refined where necessary. To test the efficiency of the response teams and quick response units, special focus was focused on important areas, which suffered from crowds or high footfalls.

These mock drills were held without yatris or inconvenience to the general public, and the cooperation of citizens and pilgrims was appreciated.
