"We are not a slave to anyone": Farooq Abdullah Slams sanctions were imposed on the Nuchshband Sahib cemetery

Srinagar, 14 July : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah trained guns in JK police on Monday, so that he would try to stop reciting Fatiha (prayer) in memory of 22 “martyrs”, who was killed in protest against the rule of Maharaja Hari Singh.

“We are not a slave to anyone,” Abdullah said, saying that he should be informed under which law he was prevented from visiting Mazar-e-Shhada at Naqashband Sahib in Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir CM said that despite efforts to stop him, he was able to recite prayers.

“I want to know under which law I was stopped. Yesterday only restrictions were imposed. It is an independent country, but they think we think that we are their slaves. We are slaves of someone. We are only slaves of people. They tried to tear our flags. So we will come here and remember the martyrs whenever we will remember the martyrs here.

The CM claimed that everyone was placed under the “House Arrest” and the bunkers were installed outside their residence, when they expressed the will to pray in the Nakshband Sahib cemetery. He said that this is the reason that he visited the “cemetery of martyrs” today without informing.

“It is unfortunate that, by the orders of those who claim that their responsibility is to maintain law and order, we were not allowed to recite Fatha yesterday. Everyone was arresting in the house since morning. When I told the control room that I wanted to recite Fatha, he was established in a few minutes. Personnel sometimes forgot to follow the law,” said Abdullah.

“Payed my honor and offered Fatiha in the graves of the martyrs of 13 July 1931. The undeclared government tried to block my path, forcing me to walk from Novata Chowk. They blocked the gate for fake SB Shrine, tried to force me to a wall.
The cemetery is connected to the temple of Khwaja Bahauddin Unshabandi.

Earlier today, the Chief Minister expressed pain on the issue of “the entire elected government being closed” over the lack of media coverage in local newspapers.

“Take a look at our local newspapers – both from Jammu and Srinagar, English and Vernacular. Its,” Abdullah posted on X.

Abdullah also overshadowed the “uncontrolled enrolled” of New Delhi to allege the elected representatives of Jammu and Kashmir.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) MLA Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami also posted on X, “A pedallock at my gate was placed under the arrest of the house and denied the right to pay tribute to the martyrs of July 13. “Since last night, I like many of my colleagues, including the party leadership in Gupta, the Chief Minister’s advisor, and the sitting MLAs have been locked inside my house. It is not only unfortunate. It is not only unfortunate. It has a deliberate right to do a deliberate to remember nor the right to accept an act. For history,” Sadiq posted on X.

After the martyrs did not allow the cemetery to visit, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehboba Mufti said that the “heart door (hearts)” between Kashmir and the rest of India will end when the Center accepts the heroes of Kashmir as their own, as Kashmir has adopted the national figure.

The PDP chief wrote on X, “The day you accept our heroes, such as Kashmiris from Mahatma Gandhi to Bhagat Singh, on that day, as Prime Minister Modi once said, ‘Dil Ki Darwaza’ (distance of heart) will actually end.

“When you siege the martyrs’ cemetery, they close people in their homes to prevent them from going to Mazar-e-Shauda, this volume speaks. 13 July remembers our martyrs, people who get up against torture, who are like countless others across the country. They will always be our heroes,” they said.

Martyr’s Day in Kashmir which was previously celebrated as an official holiday in the state, was closed in 2019 after the cancellation of Article 370. (ANI)
