Srinagar, July 12: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Chaudhary, Rafiabad, Baramulla has suspended the junior engineer besides issuing notice notices to the contractor of the defaulter, while working strictly against the poor road work on the Chizhama-Turgpora stretch.
Action has been taken after a viral video and public concern on the issue, requiring the suspension of Junior Engineer Riyaz Ahmed Bhat.
The executed contractor, M/S Rafiq Construction has been given a formal notice to explain its position within three days, when failed, which action will be initiated under NIT conditions and relevant laws. Samples of mcDam and bituminous materials have been collected and sent to the DIQC laboratory for analysis.
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure transparency, accountability and quality in public infrastructure, emphasizing zero tolerance for negligence. He encouraged citizens to continue their concerns, underlining the importance of public participation in ensuring effective governance.
