In strict adherence to the government’s zero-oppression policy towards the misuse of drugs and illegal turns of habiting substances, targeted inspections of wholesale firms were done.
During inspections, four pharma installations were found to be involved in the sale of cladstine procurement and habit -making drug preparation, mainly from neighboring states without tapentadol and pregabalin compulsory sales/purchase records.
State Drugs Controller cum Controlling Authority Lotika Khajuria, accordingly, decisive enforcement action was taken against these drug installations and canceled the drug cell license of four pharmaceutical installations, ie M/s Health Way Methods Pharma, Rajouri; M/s nuegene pharmaceutical districtrs, cansipora, baramulla; M/S NT Traders, New Colony, Sopore, Baramullah; M/S Essence Pharmaceutical Distributors, Zampakdal Chatbal, Srinagar.
The State Drugs Controller has reiterated that these actions reflect the unwavering commitment of the department for public health and safety and its determination to prevent drug abuse, especially between the weak population and any act that contributes to drug misuse or quantity, the law will be completed with the strongest possible action. There will be no tolerance for such practices.
