While doing strict work against social crimes, the police in Avantpora arrested three gamblers in Pampore and seized the stake from their possession.
A spokesman said that working on a specific information about gambling activities in Doninad, a police party at the police station is a police party in Pampor, headed by PS Pampor Disp (P) Mr. Shravan Singh raided the special place and caught three gamblers. He has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Bahru Mohammad Maqbool of Doninad, who is the son of Aqib Ahmed Dar, resident of AB Rahman Dar of Doninad and Abdul Majeed Wani of Abdin Wani of Doninad Pampor.
Authorities have confiscated funds of and 27,700/- and are playing cards from their possession. He has been arrested and transferred to the police station where he is in custody.
Accordingly, under the relevant sections of the law, a case FIR No. 74/2025 has been registered at Police Station Pampor and further investigation has been initiated.
