A jewelery shop worker has filed a lawsuit for age discrimination for allegedly calling his boss “Old Guit”, a employment tribunal.
60 -year -old Ashok Ahir claimed that his boss Jeremy Hinds made the comment in F Hinds, when he revealed a Mazda MX5 under the ownership of his ex -girlfriend.
They said Shropshire About two years ago.
Mr. Hinds refused to make a comment at any time and said that Mr. Ahir did not pick it up during the internal complaint process.
After listening to both sides of the charge, Judge Monica Daily said: “The Tribunal carefully considered evidence that Jeremy was determined in Hinds notes; it was noted that there was no record of this at that time.
“The comment was not included in the original complaint, and [Mr Ahir’s line manager] They deny that this comment was told to them.
“After considering all the evidence, the tribunal could not be satisfied that this comment was made on the balance of possibilities.
“The tribunal found that the claimant failed to establish the facts, of which, in the absence of any other explanation, the equality points to a violation of the Act. Accordingly, the claim for direct discrimination fails.”
