Vancouver – The British Columbia government is expected to release a report on ways to improve security and security in incidents after two months after the death of 11 people in a vehicle at the Vancouver Festival.
Premier David EB asked retired BC Supreme Court Chief Justice Christopher Hinkson to operate the Inquiry Commission.
Attorney General Nikki Sharma said last month that the government had received the report and would be issuing it as soon as possible, so people may feel safe to participate in events and celebrate in this summer.
AB said after the April 26 attack that Hinkson’s report will help the event organizers to guide the event to “maximize security” in BC, while not backing down from the fact that people want to gather.
In addition to 11 deaths, dozens of people were hurt as a vehicle ran on a road with food trucks as Lapu was wrapping the Lapu Day Festival.
The union of the BC municipalities has stated that it has presented a one to Hinkson, from which it has been asked to avoid using the “one-shaped-all” structure, as local governments struggle with many responsibilities, and the budgetary effect may motivate to cancel some events.
