A 39-year-old Mississaga man is facing allegations related to several firearms, when the police discovered two rifles-with a prohibited magazine-in their home-despite being legally banned from holding any weapons.
On June 15, 2025, Peel Regional Police Officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence near Bloor Street and Brijwood Drive.
Investigating the complaint, the authorities found firearms and ammunition improperly stored inside the house. The seized weapons were an SKS semi-automatic rifle equipped with a prohibited magazine and a bolt-action rifle.
The police later confirmed that the accused, Muamar Spahik, was subject to the prohibition of firearms imposed by a court at the time of the incident and was not allowed to be legally passed. The origin of the firearms and how the sphative attained them remains under the script of investigation.

Spahik was arrested at the scene and was accused with several serious crimes, including two counting of guns, knowing that his possession is unauthorized, two counts of negligent storage of a firearceatics, possession of a prohibited device, in contrast to the order, a prohibited or restricted or restricted firearm.
Police say that while in custody, the accused allegedly caused widespread damage to the divisional holding cell and the fire suppression system, resulting in an additional allegation of more than $ 5,000 mischief.
