Srinagar, Muharram 10, KDC: In a heart performance of Interfath Ekta and Karuna, Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society (JKCs) organized a Sabal (free refreshment stall) at Almagari Bazaar, Srinagar, “strong” under its major campaign, to identify the day of Ashur, Imam Husen (as), (as).
According to a statement, it lies in Islamic values of resistance against initiative, sacrifice, justice, and atrocities, crossed religious boundaries and gave a strong message of human solidarity and communal harmony.
Sabal was supported by a diverse alliance of organizations, including All India Muslim Personal Law Board (J&K Chapter), all Sikh Minority Employees Union, Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Association, Shahr-e-Khas Traders & Chambers and JK Thinkers Forum
Members of these groups came together at one gesture to serve cold drinks and water to passers -by and community members, which not only honored the martyrs of Karbala, but also celebrated the shared values of compassion and unity across religions.
Speaking on the occasion, JKCS President Imtiaz Chashhati said: “Karbala reminds us of the eternal fight between truth and lies, justice and oppression. The lesson of Imam Hussain (as) crosses the lesson, religion, region and language-it works together for humanity. To serve and share with traders, and thinkers.”
JKCs confirmed its commitment to nurture peace, compassion and communal brotherhood, which is ready to continue the manufacture of platforms that strengthen the social taunts of Jammu and Kashmir.
