In violation of the conditions kept, some individuals carried out deliberately and illegal acts during the Muharram procession on MA Road. The purpose of these works was to incite unrest, to disturb the public system, and disrupt communal harmony, which was a serious threat to the security and integrity of the nation.
Accordingly, legal action has been initiated, and FIR No. 41/2025 has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Joint Code (BNS) at Police Station Kotibagh. The accused has been identified, and legal proceedings are going on.
The Srinagar Police repeats its commitment to maintain peace and will continue strong action against any attempt to destabilize public harmony through destructive or stimulating activities.
