In June, Mr. Justice Turner sentenced a boy at the age of 15, who punched and kicked Mr. Kohli for seven years in custody, and a 13 -year -old girl, who laughed for a three -year -old youth rehabilitation order and encouraged the attack by filming some parts of it.

A spokesman for the Attorney General’s office said that the case would be reviewed inadvertently under the sentence scheme.
The spokesperson said in a statement: “Solicitor General, Lucy Rigby KC MP was influenced by this violent, cowardice attack on an innocent person.
“She wants to express her deep sympathy for Bhim Kohli’s friends and family in this difficult time.
“After a detailed review of the case, the Solicitor General concluded that the 15 -year -old boy’s sentence could be sent to the court of appeal.
“The court will determine whether the sentence has increased or not.”
Mr. Kohli’s daughter spoke of feeling “angry and disappointed”, saying that she believes her sentences “do not reflect the severity of her crime”.
