Srinagar 04 July: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today addressed the 6th convocation of Scout Kashmir in Srinagar. Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan was the chief guest for the convocation.
The Union Minister greeted the graduate students in his new beginning.
The Lieutenant Governor said, “Vikit Bharat, Vikasit Jammu and Kashmir community is our resolve. The Government of India is committed to developing Jammu and Kashmir as a center of horticulture, under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,” Lieutenant Governor said.
The Union Minister also shared his experience of his visit to Jammu and Kashmir. “The natural beauty of Kashmir and the love of its people have won my heart,” he said.
In his address, Lieutenant Governor Mr. Manoj Sinha congratulated the university for creating a competent and competitive human resource, shaped the farm area in Jammu and Kashmir UT, made a significant improvement in its ranking and also wished students for their bright future.
She enhanced her Felicitation for women students for her outstanding academic performance on topics.
“Our daughters are proud to break the obstacles and achieve success in agricultural science and technology. Gold medal out of 150 students was awarded with 115 female students. Out of 445 certificates of merit, 334 were provided to girls. Said.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor spoke on the transformational reforms in agriculture and allied sectors in UT, Jammu and Kashmir over the years.
“Under the visionary leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, agriculture and allied sectors have actually become a mainstay of India’s economy. This change is strongly reflected in the agricultural landscape of J&K. Today, the overall agricultural development program (HATP) has emerged as a role model of agricultural revolution across the country,” he said.
He said that in the last five years, Jammu and Kashmir have set 4 major targets for agriculture and allied sectors-to convert the agricultural sector into a permanent-commercial agricultural economy, to an agricultural business ecosystem for the overall development of agriculture with a price chain, farmer and community-centric viewing and to increase the income of their audacity.
The Lieutenant Governor urged the graduate students to make their valuable contribution to innovation and progressive farming and lead to agricultural technology, food technology and groundbreaking innovation. Your passion and thoughts will shape the future of India’s agriculture sector, he said.
“Education is not preparing for life; Education is life itself. And, I strongly believe that if education is according to the time and needs of the global industry, it is the most valuable property of the society,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
The Lieutenant Governor also appreciated the Vice Chancellor and his team for developing modern, art infrastructure situation and a new-era educational platform. New educational programs, excellence and research centers in modern technology and research center-artificial intelligence, machine learning, gene editing, refinorative medicine, speed breeding-lead Jammu and Kashmir have brought Jammu and Kashmir closer to achieve their goal of becoming a knowledge economy and provided an opportunity to promote UT’s biotechnology.

On this occasion, the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare laid the foundation stone for the hostel of girls in Scout Kashmir.
