United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres has been “wasted” from deepening the human crisis in Gaza and strongly condemned the loss of civil life. He repeated his call for immediate permanent ceasefire and all the hostages “unconditional and immediate” release.
A statement issued on Thursday in a statement issued by a UN Secretary -General Spokesperson said, “The general secretary has asked to deepen the human crisis in Gaza. In recent times, many attacks hit the displaced people hosting sites and people have killed people of Palestinians.
“This week, in just one day, the order to move forced around 30,000 people to flee, yet, again, there is no safe place to go and clearly with inadequate supply of shelter, food, medicine or water. International human law is unlikely: citizens should be respected and preserved, and the needs of the population should be met,” should be said in the statement.
Antonio Guterres has called for “complete, safe and constant human access” so that help can reach those who have been deprived of the basic things of life for a very long time. He reiterated that all parties should maintain their obligations under international law.
The statement said, “The general secretary reiterated that all parties should maintain their obligations under international law. It renews their calls for immediate permanent ceasefire and for immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.”
He expressed concern that the last lifeline is being cut for survival as no fuel has entered Gaza in 17 weeks. He emphasized that incubators would be closed, ambulances will not reach the injured and sick and water cannot be purified if the fuel is not allowed to enter Gaza immediately.
The statement said, “The delivery has been left in the Gaza by the United Nations and our life-saving humanitarian aid partners.
On 1 July, US President Donald Trump said Israel agreed to the conditions required to finalize the 60-day ceasefire in Gaza. Trump warned Hamas against rejecting the ceasefire deal, warning that “it would not be better – it would only be worse.” He also said that negotiations to end the war will continue during the proposed ceasefire period.
Trump wrote in a post on his social media platform Truth Social Social, “My representatives held a long and productive meeting with Israelis today. Israel has agreed on the conditions necessary to finalize the 60 -day ceasefire, during which we will work with all parties to end the war.”
He said, “The people of Katris and Egypt, who have worked hard to help bring peace, will distribute this final proposal. I hope that for the good of the Middle East, Hamas takes the deal, because it will not be better – it will only be worse. Thanks to your attention to the matter.
The announcement is less than a week than Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scheduled visit to America on 7 July.
