If you were considering taking Staffville Go Train at the end of this week, you would need to use alternative routes or go to buses.
Starting late evening on Friday, 4 July to the end of service on Sunday, July 6, Staffville Line will not be in service for track work.
On its website, Metrolinx says that these upgrades are required to help with two-way, full day’s service and access to new stations.
“This would mean more trains, more often – from Staffville to Markham, Scarborough and Toronto,” Metrolinux said on their website.
Go buses will replace train service along the Staffville Line and will stop at Old Elm, Staffville, Mount Joy, Markham, Centennial and Unionville Go stations before going to the union station.
There will be no Go Transit service in Miliken, Agincourt and Kennedy Go. Additionally, on Friday, July 4, the service will be accommodated some time.
Saturday, 5 July and Sunday, 6 July:
Southbound:
- If you are transferring to replacement Go bus trips from Go Bus Route 70 in Mount Joy Go, you will have 14 to 19 minutes connection time (up to four minutes above normal).
North side:
- If you are transferring to the Go bus route, the Old Elm has 70 trips from Go Bus Bus Travels, you will have a connection time of 10 to 16 minutes (up to eight minutes more than normal).
- If you are transferred to Go Bus Route 70 trips in Mount Joy, then replacement Go Bus Travels will have a connection time of 9 to 14 minutes (up to six minutes from normal).
