45 -year -old man accused TTC of harassment and sexual harassment of women

Officials have arrested a person who is accused of harassing at least one woman and sexually assaulting the other in northern York.

According to Toronto Police Service, the man approached a woman in the field of Nail Street and Finch Avenue West at around 4:15 pm on June 11.

Investigators say that the woman ran away from the suspect and boarded a bus going north, but when she reached the Pioneer Village Subway Station, the police say that the male suspect appeared for the second time and continued to disturb the woman.

He then informed a TTC employee about the incident and the suspect ran away from the scene.

About 30 minutes later, police say that the same male suspect approached a separate woman at a bus stop near Jane Street and Finch Avenue West and sexually assaulted her.

The victim then boarded a bus with his friend, but the suspect continued to chase him in the bus where he proceeded to shout for him, according to the police.

He then got out of the bus in Jane and Finch Mall.

In the weekend, the police identified the suspect as 45 -year -old Umar Ayla Rodriguez. He was arrested and accused of sexual harassment, criminal harassment, pronunciation of dangers and theft under $ 5,000.

He was going to appear in court on Monday.
