Mock drill held in Srinagar to assess emergency preparations for Sanjy 2025

In an active step to ensure strong emergency preparations during the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (Sanji) 2025, Srinagar Police in the district along with the journey route in various strategic places made a large -scale fake drills with the help of several prominent agencies at various strategic places.

The purpose of the practice was to evaluate operating readiness, inter-agency coordination and communication system in the event of important events.

The main objectives of the mock drill were:
– To assess emergency response procedures and protocols.

– To evaluate the coordination among agencies including J&K Police, Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), fire and emergency services, ambulance services, health department, state disaster response force (SDRF), traffic department and civil administration.

– To test the effectiveness and rescue operation of communication systems.

-The reaction of the real time to ensure monitoring and procedural rearing.

Before the drill started, all the participating agencies were given well information on standard operating procedures (SOPs) by Z&K police zonal and sector officers. The reaction was emphasized on time, communication flow and real -time monitoring of coordinated action.

In anticipation of any exaggeration, under the integrated command of the Joint Police Control Room (Joint-PCR), the arrangement of food, shelter and medical aid has been provided through efforts by CAPD, Revenue and Health Departments.

The drill was held at several strategic places, following various emergency scenarios such as road traffic accidents, laws and order scenarios etc.

After the practice, detailed debrifling sessions were held with all stakeholders to identify operational intervals and refine the existing emergency response plan.

The drill not only demonstrated the strength of the emergency response structure of the district, but also provided actionable insights into areas requiring improvement.
