US President Donald Trump has said that Iran does not have a nuclear weapon and would like to “be a great trading nation” and he would like “to see everything quiet as soon as possible”.
In his comments after the ceasefire in the Israeli-Iran conflict, Trump also mentioned the ceasefire between Israel and Iran and indicated that the United States is not keen to “change governance” in Iran.
“No … if there was there, it was there. I want to see everything quiet as soon as possible.
“Iran is not going to have a nuclear weapon, by the way. I think this is the last thing in their mind right now. They are not going to rich (uranium) and they are not going to have a nuclear weapon … they are going to become a great business nation and have a lot of oil.
He also said that the ceasefire was “in great influence”.
“Israel, as you know, turned back. They did not conduct that raid this morning, fortunately. It was a big thing. Appreciate it. They had a lot of aircraft, and they were going to do something, and they didn’t do it. We are very happy about it.” Trump said.
He said, “There was going to be a vengeance by Israel this morning. And I said, you got to call the aircraft back. It’s enough. And they did, which I respect very much. So anyone was killed. It was the story.”
Trump also mentioned his conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Appreciating the US military attacks on three nuclear facilities in Iran, Trump said: “He did not make a great hit in the darkness of the night that had no moon, no light, nothing. He hit the target completely, erased it.”
“Now we are going to NATO, and we will get a new set of problems. We will solve a new set of problems,” he said.
Speaking at NATO defense spending, Trump reiterated: “I was what he said to pay. They are having a problem with Spain. Spain does not agree, which is very inappropriate for the rest of them.”
Responding to a query belonging to Ukrainian President Volodimare Zelanski, he said: “Yes, maybe I will see him … he is in a difficult situation. Never have been.”
On Article 5 of NATO Charter, Trump said: “Depending on your definition. There are many definitions of Article 5. But I am committed to becoming friends. I have become friends with many leaders, and I am committed to help them.” (AI)
