Met office spokesperson Oli Cladeon said: “When we go over the weekend, when we begin to see the temperature getting higher with 29C in the southeast.

“It was much widespread when we had warmth last week, we were unlikely to see it.”
Before the temperature rises, the more variable weather is expected with some rain on the way, as the glastonbury-goer is asked to expect a mixed bag of sunlight and rain.

So far, the average day -day temperature of June has been 19.2C, which is slightly above the average of 17.68C according to the Met Office.
