In a statement, Cornstone Bookshop said: “Bookshop is an inclusive organization that wants to share Christianity with everyone and we do not want to advocate anyone or want to condemn anyone on the basis of their trust or sexual orientation … We had to fly to fly our shop allotted to our shop, as conscience and keeping in mind our faith and scriptures.”

It continued: “We are .. are very grateful to remove this flag fast when we expressed our concern for the council.”
