Air India on Friday canceled several international and domestic flights due to the aircraft investigation, inclement weather and airspace sanctions.
The affected flights include services between Dubai, Chennai, Delhi, Melbourne, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
According to Air India statement, “Air India International Flights AI906 from Dubai to Chennai; AI308 to Melbourne; AI309 from Melbourne to Delhi AI309; AI2204 from Dubai to Hyderabad and Pune to Delhaad AI874; AI571 from Chennai to Mumbai has been canceled due to maintenance and operations.”
The airline has offered full refund or free renovation and is helping passengers with alternative travel plans.
The statement said, “We regret the inconvenience of passengers. Our colleagues on the ground are making alternative arrangements for them to fly at their respective sites.
The airline has advised passengers to check their flight status on their website or call the customer care number for updates.
“Due to a continuous increased investigation on our aircraft, airspace’s restrictions and bad weather, we estimate some disruption that passengers will be duly notified. Passengers are requested to check the status of their flights here.

Earlier on Thursday, Air India said it will reduce flights on various international routes per week and temporarily suspend operations on three routes from June 21 to July 15, 2025.
“Further, further of the press statement issued on 18 June 2025, which announced a temporary decrease in services run by Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft, we want to provide details on affected flights. These deductions will be effective from 21 June 2025, and at least last till 15 July 2025,” The airline. But said in a post.
“The deduction voluntarily arises from the decision to increase the pre-oblique safety checks, as well as adjusts the additional flight period generated by the closure of the airspace in the Middle East. The objective is to restore schedule stability and reduce the inconvenience of the final-mintenment to the passengers,” said this. (AI)
