As part of its constant efforts to counter drug abuse and its roots, the police in Genderbal launched a large -scale destruction drive against wild cannabis (Bhung) cultivation in Youngwoga and a large -scale destruction campaign in areas falling under the jurisdiction of police station.
The drive was organized under the instructions of SSP Gandarbal Mr. Khalil Ahmed Poswal-JKPS and was headed by SHO PS LAR with dedicated police personnel. Local youth also actively participated in the campaign, reflecting strong community support and awareness against drug hazards.
The Gandalball Police repeats its strong commitment to a drug-free society and appeals to the public to cooperate in this great mission.
Citizens are urged to share information about individuals or landlords involved in illegal cultivation of cannabis or pope, so that strict legal action can be taken against them.
