QS World University 2026 ranking brings very good news for our education sector, as the government is committed to pursue research and innovation ecosystem for the benefit of the youth of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said how India added 43 more universities since 2014.

The Prime Minister wrote on a post on X, “QS World University 2026 ranking brings very good news for our education sector. Our government is committed to carrying forward research and innovation ecosystem for the benefit of the youth of India.”

Repeating the post by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, sentenced to improve India’s ranking, in 2014, 54 high academic institutions (HEI) were included in only 11 universities in the QS World University rankings.

India has achieved its strongest performance in the QS World University Rankings 2026, with 54 institutions in the global list, with a 390 percent increase in the last decade and the highest increase in G20 countries.

Calling the increase in institutions being included in the list, Union Minister Pradhan exposed it as “will for the transformational educational reforms made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.

The Union Minister underlined that the “fastest growing education system” among the G20 countries in India is the most represented, only behind the United States, United Kingdom and China.

“With a record 54 Hei among the Global Best, India has made a new high in the QS World University 2026 rankings. In 2014, from only 11 universities to the latest rankings, it is a weaver to jump five times, which is a post for transformational reforms by PM Narendra Modi Govt.
