On June 17, 2025, around 2000 pm, a police party at the police station was checking a regular naka near the Old Tehsil, Surankot in Surankote. During the checking process, a woman was identified; Bashera BI, W/O Lett Abdul Rashid, R/O near Old Tehsil, Age: About 50 years, about 06 grams of heroin were found in possession.
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act, and further investigation has been initiated to locate the backward and further linkage involved in this illegal activity.
