India comes out of Indian students trapped in Iran, who are growing in conflict

In response to the increasing tension between Israel and Iran, the Government of India has started withdrawn of Indian students trapped in Iran.

About 110 students of Urmia Medical University, in which 90 from Kashmir Valley and others from various Indian states have successfully crossed the border in Armenia.

Naseer Khumi, National Convenor, Jammu and Kashmir Students Association said, “We have spoken to students, who safely reached the Armenian capital, Yerevan, and were accommodated in their nominated hotels.”

“We have been informed by the Office of Foreign Affairs that all tickets have been freed by the Government of India. In addition, we are getting information from the Ministry that tickets from Delhi to Srinagar are also being arranged to ensure a smooth and full journey for the students of Kashmir”, Nasir said.

Students have reached Jerevan, the capital of Armenia, where they have been accommodated in nominated hotels. The Government of India has freed the cost of all tickets, ensuring a smooth and hassle -free journey for the students.

Additionally, tickets from Delhi to Srinagar are being arranged to facilitate the return of students in their homes in Kashmir.

The return journey is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2025, with students departing from Yerevan Airport on Indigo Flight 6E 9483, followed by a connecting flight to Delhi on Indigo Flight 6E 9487.

Jammu and Kashmir Students Association are closely monitoring the status and coordinates with students and officials to ensure their safe and fast return. The national convenor of Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, Nasir Khoomi, expressed his gratitude to the government.

India’s return journey is as follows:

First, the students will depart from Yerevan Airport (EVN) at 08:45 pm on 18 June 2025, flying to Doha (Hamad International Airport, Doh) on IndiGo Flight 6E 9483 (A320). The flight is expected to arrive in Doha at 14:05 pm. The check-in and baggage drop will close at 07:30.

From Doha, he will be in his connecting flight for Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport, Terminal 3, Dell). The second phase of the journey will start at IndiGo Flight 6E 9487 (A320) at 15:05 pm and is expected to reach Delhi at 22:15. The check-in and baggage drop for this flight will be closed at 13:50. There is a possibility that the flight may be slightly delayed.

The efforts and government intervention of the association have ensured a safe route for students, which are expected to reach Delhi on 18 June 2025.
