Here's Everything That Feels VERY STRANGE About Vance Boelter's "Best Friend" | WLT Report

You’ve probably seen this guy all over the news in the past few days after news of the Minnesota shootings broke.

The Media quickly identified this man, David Carlson, who was allegedly Vance Boelter’s “best friend” and….get this roommate in a rundown shack!

According to the fact that he always seems to be wearing a Papa John’s shirt, he seemingly works for Papa Johns or just really loves the pizza….but one thing is certain, he is LOVING his 15 minutes in the limelight:

This guy seemingly can’t get enough of talking to the Media, he’s eating it up and having a ball.

And since he’s been doing so much talking, we’re learning a lot about Vance Boelter but also a lot about David Carlson.

For instance, we have learned that the two are best friends and not only that but although Boelter has a roughly million dollar house in Minnesota AND A FAMILY, he would frequently live with Carlson in what I can only describe as a “modest bungalow” to be charitable:

I asked Grok to confirm, and it told me this is true:

Yes, David Carlson did say he lived with Vance Boelter part-time in a rented house in north Minneapolis. According to multiple reports, Carlson, a longtime friend of Boelter since fourth grade, stated that Boelter rented a room in the Minneapolis home a few days a week because it was closer to his workplace. Meanwhile, Boelter’s wife and children lived in a rural home in Green Isle, Minnesota, about 50 miles southwest of Minneapolis. This Green Isle residence is described as a larger home, consistent with your mention of Boelter having a “big house” and a family. Boelter is noted as a father of five, and public records indicate he owned a 6-bedroom, 3.5-bath property in Saint Paul, which he sold a few years ago.

The Minneapolis home where Boelter stayed with Carlson and another roommate, Ron Ramsey, was not described as a “shack” in any reliable sources, but rather as a modest rental property. There’s no evidence in the provided sources that Carlson was a “strange pizza delivery guy.” Instead, Carlson is consistently described as a close friend who shared the rental with Boelter for convenience due to proximity to their jobs. Some speculation on X posts, like one questioning the arrangement and suggesting Carlson might be a “random pizza guy,” appears unfounded and lacks supporting evidence from credible sources. Carlson himself noted that Boelter paid four months’ rent in advance for a small room, indicating a practical arrangement rather than a permanent residence.

The reason Boelter maintained this part-time living situation, despite owning a family home in Green Isle, seems tied to logistics. His job, which at times included working at an eye donation center or other roles in Minneapolis, made the rental a convenient base. Additionally, Boelter’s financial struggles, including losses from a failed business venture in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, may have influenced his decision to maintain a low-cost rental rather than commuting daily. There’s no indication of any unusual or suspicious circumstances like a “gay love triangle” as speculated in one X post, which appears to be baseless.

While Grok points out there is no indication of a “gay love triangle” (not even sure how that came up), I will say this whole thing is starting to feel like Thomas Crooks meets Paul Pelosi and that hammer guy.

In other words, it’s WEIRD!

And none of it seems to be adding up.

If I had a more conspiratorial bent to me, I would say it feels like MK Ultra or CIA or all of the above!  But I would never say that…

We also learned that Boelter has had many jobs/careers, including allegedly a 7/11 Manager, food service, preacher, mission to the Congo, owning a security company and funeral director in charge of “intakes” and “removals”:

Oh, and we learned that they would get together and “play Army together!”

No, not as kids.

Apparently, now as adults.

More on that below, I have the clips for you.

No official word on whether they would also say “pew! pew!” as they were playing or not…

This is the one that really causes my guard to go up….

Watch as he hits all the marks here, Carlson claims:

  • He didn’t like Tim Walz
  • He didn’t like “Jim” Biden
  • He liked Trump, voted for Trump
  • And he watched InfoWars

Sorry folks, but I don’t buy any of that!

Sorry, I just don’t.

My BS meter is going off the charts.

I could be wrong, but feels very fake to me.

WATCH: Extremely Strange Video of Suspected Minnesota Killer Vance Boelter Emerges

A new video of Vance Boelter has emerged and calling it “extremely strange” is an understatement.

In this video he introduces himself as “Vance Boelter” and then quickly says “there are no other names I have used.”

Is that normal?

When you introduce yourself do you say “Hi, I’m John Smith and there are no other names I have used”?

Sure sounds to me like he’s used many different aliases in the past.

Then he goes on to describe how he works for funeral homes and does crime scene clean up and what he calls “intake” and “removals” and work with the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Literally this:

Other reports have claimed he owned two security companies and lived in a $900,000 house, although we cannot independently verify those claims.

In addition to the funeral home work, he also reportedly had a ‘fantasy’ of security career and also food service work.

Oh, and that’s not to mention the one time he went over to run some big project over in the Congo!

None of this is adding up.

Feels like we’ve got another Thomas Crooks on our hands.

FULL TRANSCRIPT:

Hello, my name is Vance Belter. I just go by Vance.

Um, no other names that I use.

Um, I live in Green Isle, Minnesota, about an hour away from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

I’m affiliated with two funeral homes. I work full-time for Wolff Funeral Home, which is an intake location for about six funeral homes, and we also do all the intake for the National Cremation Society and the Neptune, um, Society for all their cremation, um, customers as well.

So, um, I mainly do removals at this point.

Um, so I work at Wolff full-time, and then I also work for another funeral home called Metro First Call. And they also do traditional removals — um, at nursing homes, assisted living, apartments — but they also have contracts with, uh, medical examiner’s offices.

So, like, um, one contract is the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office. So we’ll do removals which, um, we’re working with a lot of police officers and, and um, death investigators at the location where a decedent is found — could be a crime scene or just a natural death.

And our role is to just take the decedent from that place of death to the medical examiner’s office.

And so between those two, um, locations, I’m working about six days a week.

Um, what else here.

Family and pets — I have a wife and five kids, and we have two pets — German shepherds.

Fun fact about, um, myself — um, I’ve been abou— in the food industry about 30 years, and that led to an opportunity.

I was invited to the, um, Democratic Republic of Congo, which is located in Central Africa. When I was in high school, the country was called Zaire — that’s a little bit more familiar with people — but it’s the largest, um, second-largest country in Africa, right in the middle, in the center there.

And was asked a couple years ago to go and, um, see what I could do for ideas in helping their food supply system.

Their population is about 100 million people, and they import 80% of their food currently.

So some of the food companies I worked for in the past were farm-to-fork, like Del Monte Foods and Golden Plum Poultry, where we did everything — from, at Del Monte, we planted the products to harvested them to processed them and then shipped them out.

And Golden Plum Poultry — we had our own hatcheries, grow-out barns with the farmers, and then processing plants.

So between those two companies, um, I have some experience with agriculture.

And so, um, over in the Democratic Republic of Congo, I had some ideas they thought were pretty promising, which, uh, the company I was working for at the time wasn’t interested in doing anything in Africa.

So I talked with my wife, and we decided I’d just put in my two-week notice and we’d just go off on our own to try to do these projects to help out in Africa.

So we’re doing farming and fishing projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

And to help pay the bills, I just started working at a funeral home because the shift worked good, um, for my schedule with the other things I was doing.

And, um, that led to some classes at DMACC, which led to this course — so just learning more about the funeral industry.

And I think that covers everything.

And I will, uh, look forward to seeing you in class, and we’ll go from there.

Backup here if needed:

NPR reports that his best friend told local Fox News 9 that he and Boelter would “play army men” and in the context of the quote it sounded like they did that present day, not as if he was saying they did it when they were kids.  Extremely strange!

In an interview with Fox News 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul, one of Boelter’s long-time friends, David Carlson, downplayed the idea that he had any real-world military or security experience. “He was always kind of into the military stuff, but it was just, we were always like that. Me and him, we would play army men,” Carlson said.

Here’s a quick summary of everything we’ve learned so far in this case that seems extremely odd:

🔍 Key Facts and Oddities in the Boelter Case

  1. Suspect Identified in Political Shooting

    • Vance Luther Boelter, 57, is the primary suspect in the fatal shooting of State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, and the wounding of State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife.

    • The attack is being investigated as a politically motivated assassination.

  2. Impersonated Law Enforcement

  3. Claimed Military & Security Background Is Likely Fabricated

    • Boelter described himself as having military and private security training, but NPR found no record of any such background.

    • His actual work history appears to be mostly in food service and convenience store management.

  4. Suspicious Business Claims

    • Claimed to run a firm called Praetorian Guard Security Services, LLC, but NPR found no clients, services, or even a business line—only a divorce lawyer’s office listed as the address.

    • Website and LinkedIn suggest delusional or fantasy-level self-promotion.

  5. Text Message Sent Before Attack

  6. Security-Themed Fantasies

    • No independent confirmation of these projects.

  8. May Have Had Direct Contact With One Victim

  9. Lawmakers Were Possibly on a Target List

  10. Still Possibly Not Acting Alone

  1. Governor’s Response

  • Gov. Tim Walz ordered flags lowered, condemned the act as targeted political violence, and praised Hortman as “a great leader.”
