The temperature is set to climb up to 32C as a four -day heat health warning for most of England

Heat health alerts have been issued for large parts of England at the end of this week as the temperature is set to increase more than 32C.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued seven yellow heat health alerts that run till 12:00 pm on Wednesday and 6 pm on Sunday.

Yellow alert covers the following areas:

  • Yorkshire and Hambar
  • East Midlands
  • West Midlands
  • East England
  • South east
  • Southwest
  • London

Alert is the lowest behind amber and red on the system of UKHSA, but it warned of possible impacts on health and social services.

Ukhsa’s weather health warning system provides initial warning to health and social care sector when adverse temperature is likely to affect health and welfare of the population.

The temperature is predicted to reach 27C on Tuesday and Wednesday, 29C on Thursday, 30C till Friday, then 32C on Saturday and 33C on Sunday, Meteorological Office Said.

Even younger groups can be affected, it said.

It has also been warned that the demand for health services will increase, and the indoor environment to increase the risk for weak people.

Yorkshire and Hamber have a score of 7 out of 16, so only a slight effects are likely.

UKHSA Head of extreme events and health protection, Dr. Agostinho Susa said: “Our findings suggest that medium heat can also result in serious health consequences, especially for older adults, and therefore, it is important that everyone takes sensible precautions while enjoying the Sun.”

Giving a direct argument to the public, he said: “If you have friends, family or neighbors who are more unsafe, it is important to investigate them and ensure that they know about forecasts and are following the necessary advice.”
