Indigo makes emergency landing at Nagpur Airport after the threat of flight bomb

An IndiGo Flight 6E 2706, who was traveling from Muscat to Delhi with a lowover in Kochi, made an emergency landing at Nagpur Airport on Tuesday, who received a bomb threat on Tuesday.

According to DCP Nagpur, Lohit Matani, all passengers have been safely abolished, and currently an investigation is going on. Officials said that initial investigation has not yet found anything suspicious.

Further investigation of the incident is going on.

Similarly, on Monday, officials reported that the Lufthansa flight LH752, which was flying from Frankfurt to Hyderabad, was forced to return to Germany after receiving a bomb threat. A committee has been formed to assess the danger according to the standard operation process (SOP).

According to official sources, the Hyderabad-bound Lufthansa Udaan flew from Frankfurt on 15 June and was scheduled to reach its destination this morning. However, after receiving an email at Hyderabad Airport, it was advisable to return the flight, with an abundance of caution, about targeting the flight with a bomb at 6:01 pm on June 15.

An official source said, “A bomb threat assessment committee was formed, and all procedures were followed according to the SOP. In the interest of security, the airline was advised to return to the original or nearest suitable airport.”

Earlier, Lufthansa Airline told ANI, “We did not get a permit to land in Hyderabad, and that’s why the aircraft took a U-turn and returned.”

Meanwhile, a spokesman for Lufthansa stated that the flight was excluded with an abundance of caution, and passengers were granted accommodation as they left for Hyderabad.

The spokesperson said, “With an abundance of caution, the Lufthansa flight LH752 from Frankfurt to Hyderabad returned to the point of his departure after informing the authorities about the threat of the bomb deployed on social media,” the spokesperson said, “the safety of our passengers and crew is the protection of Lufthansa.

The affected passengers were provided with housing in Frankfurt and will continue their journey to Hyderabad today. ,

Hyderabad Airport had earlier stated that the flight was diverted as it was still not entered the Indian airspace, as the threat was received.

Further investigation of the incident is going on.

According to airport officials, in a similar incident on 13 June, the Delhi-Bound Air India flight coming from Phuket, Thailand, received a bomb threat and an emergency landing on the island. Air India Flight AI 379 flew from Phuket at 9.30 am and was on the way to New Delhi before turning it. (AI)
