Budgam, 13 June (KDC): On Friday, officials said that two employees faced injuries in a transformer explosion at the station Budgam receiving.
Officials told news agency Kashmir.com that the injured have been identified as Junior Engineer (JE) Hitesh and Manzoor Ahmed Dar, son of Ismail Dar and resident of Khanpora Budgam, who are in charge of the station receiving.
According to the official, the explosion occurred during regular operations at the station received, causing both employees seriously injured. He was immediately taken to the district hospital Budgam for treatment. However, due to the severity of his injuries, the doctors referred to him for advanced care at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital in Srinagar, he said.
The Power Development Department (PDD) is likely to initiate an internal investigation to detect laps, if any, the explosion occurred. (KDC)
