Sanjy-2025: DC Srinagar Visits Yatra Transit Camp Pantha Chowk

Srinagar, June 11: The upcoming Shri Amarnath ji Yatra -2025, Deputy Commissioner (DC) in relation to Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-din Bhat visited the Yatra Transit Camp at Panth Chowk here on Wednesday.

The journey focused on ensuring a strong system for smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the annual journey starting on July 3, 2025, and ended on 9 August 2025.

DC carefully reviewed boarding, lodging, hygiene, medical facilities at the Panta Chowk Transit Camp, which was a stop station for Yatries traveling to Amarnath cave. He also reviewed other facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of Yatries.

During the journey, DC issued clear instructions to the authorities to accelerate preparation and ensure that all arrangements are well placed in front of the journey. Emphasizing pilgrims comfort, he emphasized the need for spontaneous coordination between departments to increase services in the camp.

Special attention was paid to the setup of anchor (community kitchen) to provide nutritious food and clean drinking water and availability of proper hygiene facilities.

DC also inspected the readiness of the Passenger Facilitation Centers, which will handle important services such as e-KYC verification, RFID card distribution and on-spot registration to streamline the pilgrimage process.

Additional Deputy Commissioner with DC was with Adil Farid; Sub Divisional Magistrate East, Zubair Ahmed; Arto, Muzam Ali and other officials during the journey.
