BJP’s national executive member and former J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahgam on Monday, called it a direct attack on Kashmirit, humanity and India’s spirit.
Speaking to Kashmir News Seva (KNS) during his two-day visit to Pahgam, Raina said, “All those living in Kashmir have benefited from peace and progress in the last ten years-in business, tourism and education. But the enemies of Kashmir committed a heinous crime on 22 April. It was not just a terrorist attack.”
He praised the people of Kashmir for his unity and sacrifice during the attack. Raina said, “Local people put their lives at risk to save tourists. Adil Shah was martyred, and many others were injured. It is the real feeling of Kashmir, and we salute it,” Raina said.
He appealed to the people of India to unite for the security and prosperity of the nation and Jammu and Kashmir. “We all should work together to keep India and Jammu and Kashmir safe and strong. Kashmir is for all of us.”
Commenting on the demand for the restoration of the state to Jammu and Kashmir, Raina said, “Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has raised the matter before the Prime Minister.
Decision will be taken at the appropriate time. Right now, our collective responsibility is to focus on development, peace and goodness of people. ,
He emphasized that now the elections are over, political leaders of both the Sangh and Jammu and Kashmir should work together. “The next four years should be dedicated to public service, solving people’s problems and restored the lively environment of Kashmir.”
Referring to the public response to the April 22 attack, Raina said, “Tens of thousands of Kashmiris took the national flag to the streets, raising their voice against terrorism. The world saw the patriotism of the people of Kashmir that day.”
Ending his comment from Pahalgam, he said, “This land is ours. Pahgam is ours. Kashmir is ours. India is ours. As soon as we take care of our homes, we should take care of Kashmir.”
He prayed for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, India and the world in search of peace, prosperity and unity in the temple of Sufi Saint Zain-ud-Din Wali. (KNS)
